This is how old I feel right now! LOL

Gaaaaahhh boredom!! I’m sitting at the bowls club, felling like an old nana! Who does that lol oh I do! Mum’s playing, and I have nooo idea what I’m watching. Lucky I have my laptop with me. This is a random rant about anything that’s everything, just to keep me entertained. If I were to write my thoughts down right now there would be very little. Not a lot goes on in the head of mine. Except for the fact that I’m pretty sure I’m getting Parkinson’s disease- small amount of exaggeration there! But seriously my hands never stop shaking! God, imagine if I was a surgeon, you’d have squiggly scars all over, and no doubt I’d probably kill you for accidently nicking something I wasn’t supposed to cut. Luckily that’s not what I’m going to become, so you can all sleep happily knowing that if in 10 years time you need to be cut open, it wont be me- would be pretty cool though if I was one.

What’s on my itunes right now? I think I’m listening to A band called Razorlight, no clue who they are but they’re song is on- reminds me of a mixture of Arctic Monkeys and another band- can’t think of the name at the moment. That’s going to bug me now. I think it’s time for a change of song- I love it when you shuffle to a good song- Mr Brightside by The Killers- I feel like bobbing my head- don’t want to look like an idiot. I’m liking Mumford and Sons atm- It’s all because of the accent! Love! Ohh you know who else sounds amazing? This French kid Remitocoko, found him on youtube, fell in love haha not. But he is good! A lot of the new hip hop/ RnB tunes just aren’t doing it anymore, the olds are the best!

Think this typing is more entertaining than me attempting to play bowls- even though I’m only rambling… uggh I hate it, funny thing is I used to play, for the sake of it when netball season and them ones were over. Made it into the NZ championships haha LOSER. Never again I tell you!

I was looking on eBay yesterday with one of my friends’ sister while she was asleep, cause she wanted more makeup- yeah I made her blow her budget hahah nah it wasn’t my fault- she wanted too many things! Set of brushes, finishing powder and some mascara and then this perfume that doesn’t sell here in Melbourne. I think we must have debated on what she needed and what she wanted for about an hour, apparently all of it was needed- that’s what I was saying hahaha evil.

Ahh I just took my sunnies off- iitttt huuuurrrrttttssss- Don’t you hate that? You think it’s dim enough to take em off and then BAM you feel the burn of the light.

Right, I’m going to find something to do. See if these people want help with the bbq- cause I have skills :-\ Burn baby burn, disco inferno… do do do do do.

Maybe i'll post something worth the read next time... Cause that was such a waste of time :). Happy days peps!

My Ta Moko!

On Friday I flew back to Melbourne from New Zealand after spending a month long holiday over there. It was AMAZING!!! I would have stayed if I could! Apart from shopping, and catching up with family and friends I got me a Ta Moko; A Maori tattoo that cannot be copied by another person other than family as it holds significant meaning to the person who designed it! My aunty, dad and I designed mine!

This is what I got! 

My Ta moko is all about my family tree and family history. It begins in the middle where the two koru patterns meet (both halves of the tattoo); the meeting signifies the beginning of life itself and is then spreads out into my parents. The fact that the koru patterns don’t actually join is to show the difference between the two cultures of my parents: Maori and Pakeha (European English). The Diamond patterns that go both up and down the Ta Moko are the family line, the way that they merge into each other and never fully create a full diamond represents the tradition, culture, and values that have been passed down from generation to generation. They eventually lead into two koru patterns on each end, which are for all my brothers and sisters- the bigger korus are the older ones and the smaller korus are for the little one. The rest of the patterns just represent culture. The three waves on the right of the tattoo represent hope, love and faith all connected by a line of trust.

That’s about it I think. The Ta Moko took three and a half hours to do, pretty proud of myself for doing it in one sitting especially considering it was my first ever tattoo! Choice aye! haha

The promo launch was pretty sick! Pizza, cupcakes lol, Dj, dancing and of course the first appearance of the clothing line! I'm pretty sure I fell in love with the tee that says "But have not love, I am nothing". Sadly I went home empty handed!!! Didn't have cash on me at the time, but not to fear! I know the guy who sells them! So Hopefully i'll get my hands onto one of these pretties soon! 

Not only do they look good but they serve a cause! More than one actually, the purpose of this was to give back to God so the profit is not going to waste! PVBS has partnered with the Babes Project, which aims at preventing abortions and re-creating adoption as a realistic approach for woman.

I can’t wait to buy a few of these, it’s something like $30 each or two for $50- not bad at all!
